This course provides the basic knowledge needed to be a general computer technician in a vendor-neutral format. The hardware material covers PC hardware and peripherals, networks, mobile devices, virtualization and cloud computing, and troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and network issues. The operating system material covers installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting operating systems, software, security, and operational procedures. This course maps to the CompTIA A+ 220-1001 and 220-1002 certification exams. Objective coverage is marked throughout the course.
This course assumes that you have PC technical knowledge and operating system familiarity, equivalent to having been a PC technician for at least few months.
